Memories from our visit in Edinburgh in November 1998

3. The castle entrance

Nemo me impune lacessit

Always standing sentry. A popular visit for tourists.

You  can borrow a CD which tells you about the interesting history of the Castle.

This photo has been converted to two different oil paintings. It´s easier to pass the gate nowadays. A Swedish Quartet. The volcano cliff and the stonewalls fit together.
The distinguished camera man. A drainpipe. You can hear the canons at 13 pm. A glimpse of another important building.
This part of the cliff and stonewall has become an oil painting without people, The longest staircase.  Princess street with a lot of shops. The railway station.
From the upper level. The canons.
Downwards again. Saint Columbus
